Hadwiger Receives PACE Award

Charlotte Hadwiger, Business and Industry Services Director at Northwest Technology Center’s Alva campus was recently recognized with the Post-Secondary Adult Career Education (PACE) Award of Excellence by the Oklahoma Association of Career and Technology Education’s Career Business and Industry Training (CBITS) Division.

Hadwiger was nominated by her technology center because of her Involvement in Professional Organizations, outstanding achievements within her department, high level of professionalism, demonstrated leadership skills and her commitment to customer service.

“I was very surprised to receive the award,” stated Hadwiger. “It is really an award for our entire school and specifically for our business and industry training staff. I was quite honored to represent Northwest Technology Center by receiving this award.”

Hadwiger has been employed at Northwest Technology Center for the past 10 years. Since assuming her role in Business and Industry Services in 2006, she has worked to establish a CEO network that meets monthly, helped establish a program called Safety Essentials and has worked to bring truck driver training to Northwest Oklahoma.

Hadwiger and her husband, Mickey live in Alva and have two grown children and two teenage children. Hadwiger is involved in the First United Methodist Church, Chapter ET PEO and many other community and family focused activities.
