Northwest Technology Center students involved with the BusinessProfessionals of America (BPA) student organization recently attended the National BPA Convention in Orlando, Florida. The Small Business Management Team placed in the Top Ten in the Small Business Management event. Team members included: Lani Espy, Lanita Davis, Miriam Renteria, and LouAnn Rojas. The group qualified for the National Contest by earning first place at the State BPA contest earlier this semester. Another student, George
Williams passed the Microsoft Access Database certification which was included in his national event, Database Applications. Williams also placed first statewide in the Information Technology Event and placed second statewide in the Database Applications. The BPA chapter at NWTC is sponsored by instructors, Lisa Fuller and Jessica Schanbacher.
